A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on 29th October 2015 between the Kunming Institute of Botany (KIB), Chinese Academy of sciences and The Mushroom Research Foundation (MRF). Prof CHEN Jijun, Deputy Director of the Kunming Institute of Botany and Prof. Kevin D HYDE, Director of the Mushroom Research Foundation, jointly signed the agreement.
The MoU agrees to lease the international journal Fungal Diversity to Kunming Institute of Botany for the next five year. The impact factor of the institute-sponsored journal was increased from 3.8 to its present 6.221, placing it in the top two journals for international fungal research.
As agreed by both party, Fungal Diversity becomes the official journal belonging to KIB, with KIB’s logo on the front page and notification inside as used in other journal. The Editor in Chief Prof. YANG Zhuliang from KIB may join the editorial board of the Fungal Diversity.
