In the Yunnan boundary regions between China and Vietnam, all previous integrated surveys focused on the spring season for collecting flowering material and the autumn for fruiting specimens. Now, the project will emphasize particularly on the so-called sterile winter and laborious rainy summer seasons and the limestone segments, which are largely unexplored in the previous surveys. During each of the three surveys, the team will spend 21 days collecting in the field. Some key plants, main vegetation and ecology of epiphytes will be center of the surveys.
