The Chinese-German Symposium on Natural Products and Modern TCM Research, co-hosted by Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences (KIB) and German Cancer Research Center, sponsored by the Sino-German Centre for Research Promotion, was successfully held from 16th to 19th March, 2010 in KIB.

　　Totally 26 senior scientists both from Germany and China were invited to the conference and 27 academic reports were delivered.

　　Symposium participants shared the research experiences in modern and creative studies of bio-products and Chinese traditional medicine, discussed future research directions and advancements. It is also expected that potential cooperation could also be developed.
