At the invitation of the National Agricultural and Forestry Research Institute (NAFRI) of Lao PDR, a 3-person KIB delegation leaded by Director LI De-Zhu paid visits to the scientific research institutions in Laos from June 28th to 1st July and LI De-Zhu, on behalf of KIB, signed a memorandum of understanding on collaboration for conservation and sustainable use of plant resources with Director Bounthong Bouahom who is on behalf of NAFRI on 30th June. The Parties agreed to exchange scientists and experts as well as carry out joint ethno-botanical surveys and research projects.

The KIB delegation also visited the National Science Council and the National University of Laos.
