On 29 January, a delegation of Korea Arboreta and Gardens Institute and Gachon University visited Kunming Institute of Botany of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Punuo Baimadanzeng, Director of Kunming Institute of Botany, and Kwangsu Ryu, Chairperson of Korea Arboreta and Gardens Institute, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of the two institutes respectively. The two sides agreed to enhance exchanges and cooperation on the conservation and sustainable use of plant diversity and resources, and to promote the building of a global network of seed banks and botanical gardens.

During the delegation’s visit to the Germplasm Bank of Wild Species and the Kunming Botanical Garden of Kunming Institute of Botany, the two sides had in-depth exchanges in the areas of collection and conservation of germplasm resources, ex situ and in situ conservation of wild plants.
